Do You Remember Your Ninth Birthday?

What a great way to remember any birthday or event! Instead of a camera full of digital images, or an email to a friend with one image, how about creating a cool video like the one below from your photos and your videos?

Reagan and her friends LOVE watching the video of her birthday, and she will always remember the day as she looks back on this short video!

Notice how the photographer added short snips of video to the photos to create an added dimension to the memory!

Don’t you wish you had a something like this to remind you of your ninth birthday?

Many studios can help you capture a memory like this–whether it is helping you to produce a video from your images, or having an HMM photographer come to your event, is here to help you capture and hold these special memories!

The PERFECT Father’s Day Gift!

What do you do with all those photos and videos you take with your cell phone?  If you are like most people, you probably have many photos and videos on your phone–the photos may be cute, but not necessarily something you would print, and the videos are adorable, but you don’t really know what to do with them?

Here is a great idea, just in time for Father’s Day, of what to do with those cell phone photos and videos.

Those "cell phone memories" are great to use for producing a very simple video for Dad for Father’s Day.  Below is video created from cell phone photos and videos–a years worth of memories–tidied up into a great little production–that melted mom’s heart on Mother’s Day.

There are many programs out there that will quickly create a memory like this.  For the video below we used Animoto.  If you need help creating your own video for Father’s Day, contact your local studio–that is what we are here for!

The NEW Christmas Cards!

Have you noticed how many Christmas cards you receive that are photographed and created by mom?  Wonderful photos taken in the backyard, while on vacation, or by the tree?  It wasn’t that long ago that the only way to get holiday portraits on your greeting cards was to go to a portrait studio.  Times have changed as Mom’s are taking great photos, and getting creative with their cards!

Portrait studios need to offer new and exciting products that will keep families coming to the studio for those special occasions!

Many studios can now create these innovative "digital greetings" from your portrait sessions.  The mix of video and still photos, with dynamic music in the background, add a new dimension to Holiday memory sharing.  Check out my family’s latest portrait session and the video that the studio created for us.

We still send out the traditional Christmas Cards to our friends and relatives, but my wife and I also shared this video greeting on our facebook pages, and sent out as an email to our friends and family that are not on any of the social networking sites.

The videos can also be shared on facebook or any number of other social networking sites.  Check out our facebook fan page to see what the video player looks like in facebook.  Also check out the post from Monday, November 14th to see how you can display any of your galleries in a unique coverflow format.

How is your family sending out holiday greetings this year?

A Great Video Created by a Studio

A GREAT video of twins Mathew and Mason from one of our studios. Check out how the studio mixes video and portraits.

There are many programs out there that will allow you to create cool video mixes like this with your personal images and videos.  (Add a comment if you need suggestions or have any questions on how to do this yourself.)

If you can watch this video and not smile, we’ll buy you lunch!

A New Type of Family Portrait!

What a great way to share family portraits!  Instead of emailing your static images to family and friends, why not send out a true cinematic event!

Many of our studios and photographers can now come to you for your family session.  With each session you will get a video like below–which adds an entirely new dimension to your session.

Check out how the photographer merged beautiful family portraits with short video clips to capture the personality of this family!

On Location
Having children of my own I know how difficult it can be to get several young children together for a trip to the mall. With that in mind, we have recently started to offer "On Location" photography in several of our cities.
This session is designed with your family’s conveniance in mind. We will come to your home, a local park, or any other outdoor scenic area. Call your one of the numbers listed in this link for more information
"On Location" sessions are also great for families who want to include their pets in their photos (or who only want photos of their pets).
